Off-Campus Access

Instructions on how to use the proxy server and library account to access databases from off-campus.

  • PKU-VPN allows you to remotely access the online resources of Peking University Library without the limitation of time and place. It makes your search simple and easy. Please refer to the PDF file titled 2022 Library Handbook for instructions on how to download and install PKU-VPN application. 
  • UTL (Shenzhen University Town Library) Remote Access supports you to access and use UTL subscribed online resources 24/7 by login library account. Please refer to the PDF file titled UTL Remote Access Instruction for more detailed information.

Articles, Journals and Ebooks 

Search for Textbooks and Course Materials

The STL Law Library provides you with textbook resources in paper and electronic form. E-textbooks and e-course materials are available to all STL students and faculty members. You can check out all of our subscribed textbook resources on our STL Library website:

or go directly to the I-research platform to search for the textbook resources you may need. 

Please refer to the "I-research" guide in the 2022 Library Handbook for information on how to access the I-research platform off-campus for electronic textbook resources.

Supportive Software

Access the Licensed Software page within the PKU Portal to download more software to support your studies and research. For example, Office, Adobe, Origin, MATLAB, and so on.
Note: Off-campus users do not need a VPN to download licensed software, just login to the portal and click on "licensed software" to download. If you need to activate Windows, Office, etc., please connect to VPN first.
